Metrics Talking ("we", "us") operates the website at https://metricstalking.com. This page explains what personal data we collect, what we do with it, and the rights you have under the EU GDPR and Turkey's KVKK.

The short version: we collect the minimum we need to reply to your message, run a private analytics dashboard, and operate a chat widget if you opt in. We never sell data. We never share it with advertisers. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

1. Who's behind this site

Metrics Talking is a software studio with offices in İzmir (HQ), London, and San Francisco. The data controller for this website is Metrics Talking, contactable at [email protected].

3. Cookies & tracking

We use a minimal cookie consent banner. Until you accept, no third-party scripts load — no Google Analytics, no Tawk.to chat. You can change your mind at any time using the "Cookies" link in the footer.

• Strictly necessary: a single cookie storing your consent choice.
• Analytics: Google Analytics 4 (cookieless mode where supported). Disabled until consent.
• Chat: Tawk.to widget cookies. Loaded only after you opt in and use the widget.

4. Legal basis

• Contact forms: your consent (you submitted the form to talk to us).
• Analytics / chat: your explicit consent via the banner.
• Server logs: our legitimate interest in operating a secure service.

5. Who we share with

We use a small set of processors to operate the site:

• Vultr (NL, EU) — server hosting.
• Cloudflare (US, with EU data residency) — DNS, edge caching, DDoS protection.
• Google Analytics 4 (US) — anonymised usage metrics, only after consent.
• Tawk.to (US) — live chat, only after consent.
• Email provider for outbound transactional mail.

We do not sell data. We do not share it with advertising networks.

6. Your rights

Under GDPR / KVKK you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct anything inaccurate.
• Ask us to delete it.
• Restrict or object to processing.
• Receive your data in a portable format.
• Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

7. Data transfers

Some processors (Google, Tawk.to, Cloudflare) are based in the US. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses + supplementary measures for those transfers. Where data can stay in the EU, we keep it there.

8. Children

This site is intended for business audiences. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe we have, email us and we'll delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We update this page when our practice changes. The "last updated" date at the top will change. Material changes will be flagged in a notice on the homepage for at least 30 days.
